Turn a Pinterest board into a carousel.

Paste a public Pinterest board link, and Wavegrain adds the board's first 50 photos to a new collection for your brand. You can also search Pinterest inside Wavegrain, add stock photos or your own uploads. Then choose New slideshow, and Wavegrain writes the slides, places your photos and exports an Instagram carousel or a TikTok slideshow.

How it works

  1. 1. Make a collection

In your brand's Images tab, paste a public Pinterest board link under Import from a Pinterest board, and choose Import board. Or open Library and choose New collection. A collection is your board: one named set of photos for one look or topic.

  2. 2. Add photos

Choose Find photos. On the Pinterest tab, type what you want and choose Search Pinterest, or use the Stock tab. Pick photos, then choose Add images to collection. Upload adds your own photos.

  3. 3. Start a slideshow from it

Open the collection and choose New slideshow. Pick Collection + AI or Collection only, then Generate slideshow. The button shows the estimated credits before you start.

  4. 4. Edit and export

Change any text or image, then choose Save. Choose Done, then Preview & export, and download a ZIP of PNG slides or an MP4 video.

What the board does

  • Before it writes, Wavegrain looks at up to 20 photos in the collection and plans each slide around a photo that fits it.
  • Hook, content and CTA slides can each use their own collection, so the first and last slides can have a different look.
  • Collection only uses nothing but your photos. Collection + AI fills the slides your photos cannot cover with AI backgrounds.
  • A public board link brings in the board’s first 50 photos. Private boards, videos and images under 500x500 pixels are skipped.
  • Only the Pinterest photos you select or import are downloaded. Each one keeps its source link in your library.
  • Search skips pins under 500x500 pixels and filters out many text graphics, such as quote cards and infographics.

What it does not do

  • It does not read private boards, and it imports only the first 50 photos of a public board.
  • It never asks for your Pinterest login or password.
  • It does not give you the rights to a pin. Wavegrain labels every Pinterest image: “Reference only. Pinterest images are not licensed stock.” You are responsible for having the rights to every image you post.

A good use of Pinterest is to plan the look: colours, light and framing. For the slides you post, use your own photos, stock photos under their licence, or AI images.

Questions

Can I paste a Pinterest board link?

Yes, if the board is public. In your brand's Images tab, paste the link under Import from a Pinterest board. Wavegrain adds the board's first 50 photos to a new collection for that brand. Private boards, videos and images under 500x500 pixels are skipped.

Does Wavegrain find photos for my brand?

Yes. When you create a brand, Wavegrain searches Pinterest for photos that fit the brand, one set for opening slides and one for the slides in between, and saves them to the brand's collections. It skips medical images and text graphics, and it tries stock photos when Pinterest finds too few.

Do I need to connect my Pinterest account?

No. Wavegrain never asks for your Pinterest login or password. Search and board import run on Wavegrain's side, and only the photos you choose or import are downloaded into your library.

Can I post Pinterest images in my slideshow?

Only if you have the rights. A pin's image belongs to the person who made it, and saving it does not give you a licence. Wavegrain labels every Pinterest image as reference only, not licensed stock. For slides you post, use your own photos, stock photos under their licence, or AI images.

What if my collection does not have enough photos?

With Collection only, Wavegrain uses only the collection's photos and stops with a message if there are too few. With Collection + AI, it makes an AI background for each slide the collection cannot fill.

What sizes can I export?

Square 1080x1080, portrait 1080x1350 (4:5), 1080x1440 (3:4) and vertical 1080x1920 (9:16) for TikTok and Reels. You download a ZIP of PNG slides or an MP4 video.
